Im so lucky I bought this hibiscus a few months ago and it’s constantly had blooms. I even brought it indoors as it just snowed today and it seems to be fine. Still getting plenty of sun, a beautiful plant that always reminds me of home.

Update: This photos about a month old. I left my apartment for 2 weeks to travel and even though I’m aware of delayed water feeders for plants (fill up a wine bottle with water and flip it upside down in the soil, at the start the soil will drink until it is sufficiently quenched. As the soil dries up oxygen is relapsed a bubble of air will rise into the bottle and dispense water) you can buy a fancy one on Amazon with a thinner stem but I’ve had no issues with using a wine bottle. I was very nervous my plant would be dead due to lack of sunlight and water (only used 2 wine bottles) but to my surprise the plant looked fine even though they were no blooms. Here is how it looked after two weeks of minimum care:

Bulbs in the soil are delayed water feeders I bought on Amazon I like them because they have a thin stem but a wine bottle works just fine as is better for longer trips

Even in my hometown the hibiscus isn’t looking as good. Granted it could be a different species of the flower, the bloom itself is smaller and a Scarlett red.
