Spotify wrapped 2025

My mix of music was definitely different this year all songs in top 5 are new entries to the list. Top 5 artists is the same after not making the top spot last year Kanye West reclaims his top spot. It probably helps that KGLW took their music off Spotify this year. Bad Bunny took the number four spot for me – the first time a Latin artist has made it in the top 5 spot for my wrapped. I must admit I listened to a lot more Latin music this year than I had in previous years. I think the bad bunny Super Bowl announcement had something to do with that. Very exciting news for Hispanics, and I’m excited to see his performance.
If you want to listen to my 2025 playlist

Also I kinda enjoyed being called an old soul by Spotify.
NFL season begins tonight
Eagles vs cowboys should be a good one but I predict the eagles will crush.
But that’s not what this post is about.

In Janurary 2020 Rob Lowe wore a NFL shield logo hat to the NFC Championship game and it became a bit of a meme as he was also on a show called the shield.
So I got this Idea of putting the NFL shield logo in a teams colors. Unfortunately a lot of NFL teams have red and blue as their primary colors so some of these edits are as stunning as others. I also used some secondary logos for fun and used some creative privileges for others. Also if anyone from the NFL sees this I made this for fun and am not trying to make any money of this so please don’t sue. But if you want to make this idea a reality please reach out because I actually think fan would buy this. Anyway this was a fun little project so here are the hats I made in alphabetical order.

🚗 Who Are the Safer Drivers: Men or Women?
Let me ask you a question: Who do you think is the better driver — men or women?
It’s a classic debate — one you’ve probably heard among friends, family, or even in pop culture. But when you look at the data, the answer isn’t just about opinions — it’s rooted in statistics, behavior patterns, and even insurance rate
Let’s start with the hard numbers
According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, in 2021, men accounted for 71% of all traffic fatalities. That’s a huge majority. It’s not because there are more male drivers — it’s because of how men tend to drive.
Men are more likely to be involved in speeding-related crashes, to drive under the influence, and to not wear a seatbelt. These are all high-risk behaviors that increase the severity of crashes.
On the flip side, women are more likely to be involved in lower-speed, minor crashes, like fender benders. So while both genders crash, men’s accidents are usually more deadly.
Driving Behavior:
Let’s dig into some behavior patterns.
Studies show that men are more aggressive on the road. They’re more likely to:
- Run red lights
- Tailgate
- Weave through traffic
Women, in contrast, tend to drive more cautiously. They are more likely to:
- Use turn signals
- Follow speed limits
- Wear seatbelts consistently
Now, that’s not to say every man is a speed demon or every woman drives like a grandma — but the averages point in that direction.
DUI & Risky Driving:
Here’s a striking stat: Over 80% of DUI arrests in the U.S. involve men. And male drivers are nearly 4 times more likely to die in a crash involving alcohol or drugs.
When you combine that with speeding and distraction, it’s no surprise that insurance companies charge men — especially young men — much higher premiums.
In fact, a 20-year-old male driver may pay 20–25% more than a female of the same age for the same coverage.
Why the Difference?
So why the difference? Part of it comes down to risk tolerance. Studies suggest men are more comfortable taking risks behind the wheel — whether that’s speeding, passing aggressively, or driving while tired.
Women tend to value safety and control, and many drive shorter distances and avoid driving late at night, which reduces exposure to dangerous situations.
Conclusion:
So, who’s the safer driver?
If we’re going by statistics: women come out ahead.
They’re less likely to speed, drink and drive, or be killed in a crash.
But ultimately, the safest driver isn’t defined by gender — it’s defined by choices. Whether you’re male or female, the most important things you can do are simple: buckle up, slow down, stay focused, and never drive impaired.
Because at the end of the day, it’s not about winning a gender battle — it’s about staying alive on the road.
A Sports Dynasty in the making
Ten days ago the Florida Panthers won the second straight Stanley Cup in 3 years, beating the Edmenton Oilers 4-2. I will admit I only started watching hockey when I they won in 2024 during the start of the playoff run. I won’t go into it to much but it’s important to note they also played Edmenton in the finals that year and won 4-3 after going up 3-0. I don’t know what it was but that run felt so magical and I really fell in love with the team that year. The team is just so much better than everyone else and it seems like they’re going to be that way for a long time. I’m honestly thinking a three peat is very likely.
Let’s break down this historic repeat Stanley Cup Finals Run
Game one happened June 4th Edmenton won at home in OT 4-3. It was 3-1 Florida for like a minute. With under two minutes to go in OT Panthers forward Tomas Nosek Flipped the puck out of play, putting Edmenton in the power play where Leon Draisaitl scored with 34 seconds left in OT. Edmenton 1-0.
Game two This first period might’ve been the best 1st period of hockey I’ve ever seen and certaintly the most dramatic of the series. Bennett stikes early for the panthers on a power play, the pucks kept flying and the goalies actually played pretty well but by the end of the 1st it was 3-2 Edmenton. Kulikov ties it at 3-3 and Brand Marchand the hero of the Toronto series, a series that went 7 and we were down 2-0 in Game 3 but we came Back and Marchand had a game winning overtime goal. He also had a amazing highlight shorthanded break away goal to get us up 4-3 in this game.
It was 4-3 up until the last moment when Corey Perry scored a chip in at the last possible moments of the 3rd.
The first game of the series was seconds away from 2OT if not for that mistake by Nosek in Game 1 this one did go to double overtime when Marchand again scores a game winning goal. Which in a lot of was similar to the 4-3 score earlier in this game.
Believe it or not Marchand had a shot similar to this just hit the post earlier in the overtime. The series doesn’t start to someone loses at home. Florida was able to split the first two away games 1-1 and going home with momentum. Series Tied 1-1
Game Three This was a classic Florida Panthers game where they just seem to have away to break teams that was what happened here. After scoring two goals one being a game winner I thought for sure Edmenton would make a point of not letting Marchand get even close to the puck but that was not the case here as he puts one in after 56 seconds of play.
From then on it was raining cats and cats as six individual panthers players scored. and the final was 6-1 in regular time the first game that did not go to overtime in this series. All the games have been pretty physical in this series and I’ll even admit I think the Oilers had intentionally raised the physicality from this series to the one the year before. But the Panthers whopped butt in this game in ever sense of the word as a big fight broke out towards the end. Panthers 2-1
Game Four Florida went up 3-0 with two from Tkachuck and one from Lindell, and I thought for sure the oilers were leaking. Edmenton pulled their Goalie Stuart Skinner and put in Calvin Pickard; Pickard has posted a 7-0 record with a 2.69 GAA and an .896 save percentage through nine outings this postseason. And was able to do the same it was 3-3 going into the third and I was worried. Than Walman scored to make it 4-3 until Sam Reinhart pulled a Perry and made an amazing buzzer beater to force another overtime, the third overtime in four games.
It really felt like we had it and to be honest we were in control for most of the overtime but Leon Draisaitl strikes again to win the game for Edmenton. And it turns out the Oilers were a bit more resilient than I thought. Series tied 2-2
Game Five
Oilers stayed with Pickard and why not. I don’t think it was a bad descion even if his ceiling wasn’t as high as Skinners he earned the start for his performance in game four alone.
And wouldn’t you know it Marchand again score for the panthers which was a relief to see that pickard is human.
And would you know it but he did it again with an absolute highlight reel goal to make it 3-0 cats. Florida was able to dominate this game and the oilers played with no real heart this game. Final score 5-2 Florida. 3-2 Florida in the series. At this point as a fan I felt we had won the series already but there’s always…
Game Six
It’s always a good sign when you score first in a hockey game and Sam Reinhart was able to score first for the panthers. He also scored three more times and this game was basically the Reinhart show. Panthers would go on to win this game 5-1 and the series in six games.

I’m so happy to be a fan of this team and its been amazing to see two dynastys in Florida in my life. The other being the Miami heat 2011-2015. This one feels different and more built for longevity and I truly believe this could be the big bad wolf of hockey for years to come. Edmenton is good just two top heavy. Panther PRIDE. Stocked for the sucess and future success of this team.
List your top 5 favorite fruits.

2.) pineapple
3.) raspberries
4.) passion fruit – would honestly go higher but not easy to find and only had a handful of times
5.) blue berry – has to be firm and tart not the squishy sweet ones
Honorable mention – strawberry
CR7

I made this image edit when I noticed the similarities in Ronaldo and the Rockies logo. #CR7
I got lucky is was right in time for the season opener but I know the Rockies first series is away but enjoy the edit anyway.
New look and new accomplishments

I have a new facial hair style. Not sure I live it but trying it out for now after seeing Ethan Klein try it.
Also I nailed my first medium feature in the terrain park today. Earlier in the year I had set a goal to do the terrain park more specifically rails. Little did I know rails are the hardest for me and I sadly don’t think I’ll be able to successfully land a rail before end of season but I have made a lot of progress.
I tried a medium rated jump also but as you can see that was not a success. Do think that is an achievable goal however.
Also sorry for not posting here in a long while. I have only so much data space to post on here so a big change to this website may be coming down the line or I’ll just stop posting all together we shall see.
Also shout out to hot hands

Let me know what you think about the look

Florida trip recap

I’m back after a long flight from Florida and boy are my arms tired.
There’s not much to really say about it as it was the same as every trip I take here give or take a few things but most traditions remained.

One thing I did that was new was play pickleball the first time ever. I wanted to hate it actually but it was fun and I’d forsure do it again as someone who has been more into tennis this year and hated pickleball for what it’s done to tennis I must say after playing I think I just like racquet sports.

Lunch with the old man at Emi squared. A new spot that serves Detroit style pizza. Usually don’t like Detroit style but this was actually really good and even enjoyed the leftover afterwards. Was a bit disappointed though when they didn’t have anchovies as a side, no place serving pizza should not have anchovies.

I got my racquet restrung and played at the biltmore a few times as I usually do. However on the day I got my racquet back it was raining lightly and in spurts. I really just wanted to get started with my new racquet so I just played through the rain and got this nice photo. It actually means a lot to me. A symbol of my consistency and determination. The ball being wet acted like a shot marker, showing me where the ball I hit went, and the fact that I played through the rain shows me that I am dedicated to my craft. it was fun to see the ball explode with water when I’d hit it to the wall, and explode again to paint the wall. After tennis one day I went to the pool and enjoyed a swim. I had never done it before as I’m technically not allowed to but was able to do so without any issues. Good to know for future reference.

I did end up going out with one of my long time friends on night to see Steve aoki at daer, we also hit the casino a bit and I managed to turn 20$ into two hundred at blackjack. After daer we regrouped the following day and hit brickell. I actually meet a really cute girl who took the photo of me behind the dj booth but she ended up ghosting me. Womp womp, oh well.

I surprisingly only went to the beach once and only for a few hours but was glad to get what I consider the purest form of relaxation even if the time was a bit more brief than I’d usually like.

Lastly I was lucky enough to get an invite from my sister to join her and her friends on a rental boat. There was a bit of a cleaning issue in the boat but other than that it was a good time. I even saw a sea horse while in the water which was a new experience for me. That was also my last day and I had a nice dinner with a college friend who I had a crush on but was friend zoned by. We still had a nice dinner and I’ll probably reach out if I’m back in town.
Overall it was a nice trip and im grateful to be with family and relax but I’m home now for 2025 and ready to get back into my normal routine. Happy new years and have a blessed 2025.
Rising theft in stores, closing down or closing changing rooms. Economy and low class crimes.
It has been reported by CBS that retail theft has risen 10% in 2024 compared to 2019 (COVID). This is a huge deal as it is not just your poor and homeless stealing from stores. Even the Winona’s of the world are stealing from stores. Retail theft is a huge problem not just for stores who lose billions yearly to this but also to honest paying consumers who end up paying the price. Of course stores have attempted to implement measures to counter this issue such as placing anti theft tags, security cameras and even locking up high value items but these only serve as an inconvenience and don’t actually make any impact of retail theft. There are various reasons why this happens and I do think the pandemic and inflation have helped increase this activity, but I have thought about some ideas I have to stop it.
1.) Deposit or “Costco” Method: If you’re lucky enough to experience the joys of a Costco membership you know that it comes with a cost 65-130 dollars a year depending on your membership tier. But what you may not now is that Costco has a much lower rate of theft “shrink” then any other of the large retailers. And the reason why has to do with the membership. You have to pay to even get in the store, they also have people checking receipts on exit. But the big one here is the membership cost, if you steal you will certainly lose your membership and you paid for it so you don’t want to do that since it will not be worth it in the end. Now not every store can have a membership program as successful as Costco and I truly think what they do in the retail space is something special and worth the cost. But for other store they can maybe consider having customers pay a deposit fee to enter the store, and you will only receive your deposit back on exit and a brief receipt check like in Costco.
2.) The drive up and go only: This is the one I feel most stores will end up adopting but basically the store will mainly exist as a warehouse fulfillment center that is capable of pick up and shipping orders. I feel like stores are slowly reaching this and it makes sense, the only people allowed in the store will be employees and if they steal it will be a lot easier to catch and enforce versus customer theft. Employees in the store will do nothing but recieveing, shipping and order fufillment. This will not be a perfect solution as they are many who enjoy the act of going to a store however I feel like this maybe the way of the future.
I had to post this because as I have begun managing accounts for retail stores I see this almost daily and it has become a crime I never thought about to one that I think of and see happen often and it honestly infuriates me. I don’t think that well see retail stores make any huge changes anytime soon but can definitely see a world where either of the above listed ideas becomes the norm.
